The mission of the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 is to proactively manage the Hidalgo County Master Drainage System and allow for the efficient exportation of drainage water, to protect life and property for Hidalgo County residents, businesses and surrounding jurisdictions.

Dirt Surplus Locations

The Board of Directors approved on 5/07/19 the surplus of fill dirt on the following locations:

1. North Main Drain (between Freddy Gonzalez & Hidalgo County Irrigation District No. 1 main canal), approximately 25,983 CY

2. Mile 9 North & FM 1015 (2018 Bond Referendum-project# 24-pct 1 area), approximately 86,508 CY
