The mission of the procurement department of the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 is to acquire products and services through innovative solutions for all district departments. The procurement department strives to maximize the value of public funds while offering equitable opportunities to all public and private entities involved in the procurement process and supporting environmental enhancement for Hidalgo County constituents.
The objective of the procurement department is to comply with all applicable State and Federal procurement laws and regulations to promote excellence and efficiency by ensuring fair competition among vendors, reduce costs to generate savings, and establish a good business relationship with all interested bidders/suppliers.
