The Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 (HCDD1) will hold a public hearing on the proposed tax rate for the 2025 tax year on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The hearing will take place at the Hidalgo County Commissioner Court Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, Edinburg, TX 78539.

During the hearing, the public will have the opportunity to learn more about the proposed tax rate and provide feedback. It is important to note that individual property tax bills may increase, decrease, or remain the same depending on two factors:

• The tax rate ultimately adopted by the District.

• The change in the taxable value of an individual property compared with changes in the taxable value of all other properties.
